Former glamour model Katie Price has declared she’s in the “healthiest relationship” of her life since marrying Lee Andrews.
Katie Price is in the “healthiest relationship” of her life since marrying Lee Andrews.
The 48-year-old former glamour model wed her fourth husband in January, just days after they met for the first time, and they’ve had a turbulent six months of marriage after Lee went missing and was discovered to be in prison in Dubai. The pair recently reunited after Katie flew out to Dubai to see him and she’s now opened up about their romance and insisted the marriage is healthy and strong.
During an appearance on Josh Smith’s Great Chat Show, Katie explained: “Two years ago I did relationship therapy, learning about red flags and healthy relationships … I am at peace with myself, so what choices I make isn’t really anyone else’s business but mine. And this is a thing. People speculate. People do stories on whatever they want to do.
“So even in my situation now, people have created what they think they know, but they don’t know what I know … I know you’re not going to think it, but the one I’m in now is the healthiest relationship I’ve been in.
“I don’t need Lee, I want Lee, and there’s a massive difference. He’s got his own thing going on, he’s very intelligent, and he’s older, whereas I’ve always gone for younger.
“I’m comfy, he’s not in and out of my pockets. I’m just used to men who end up being like a puppy dog, no conversation, no get up and go, no drive, and in the end they become my sixth child. Lee’s not like that.
“He sees me as me, not a product, and he doesn’t take any s***, and I love that.”
In the interview, Katie opened up about her previous troubles including a breakdown, a suicide attempt and a stint in rehab and insisted she’s now in a much better place and she’s ready to relaunch her career with some big plans – including a film about her turbulent life.
She added: “I want to bring back my press calls, my perfumes, my make-up, underwear, swimwear, just bring all of my empire back and more, and I’m going to do it. I’ve now done a documentary about my life, the next thing is a film about my life.
“Money doesn’t bring happiness, I’ve had every car you could think of, but my home is my Zen now, my happy place. I’ve got the real people around me that I want, and that’s all I need.”
