The 56-year-old singer /actress has revealed she always goes back to the same fashion designer – Zuhair Murad – whenever she needs a boost because she loves the “glamour” and the “fit” of his gowns.
She told WWD: “[When I think of Zuhair Murad], I think of glamour. His stuff is always very embellished. But first of all, you can’t talk about Zuhair without talking about his fit, the way he knows a woman’s body.
“That’s the thing that attracted me. Yes, there are the spectacular creations, but there are very few designers who really understand a woman’s body and accentuate it.
“Whenever you put on one of his dresses, you feel like the most beautiful girl in the world.”
Jennifer revealed she fell in love with Zuhair’s designs decades ago while watching runway shows on TV late at night and joked she “stalked” him until he gave her one of his dresses – a strapless silver gown covered in leaves – to wear to the Met Gala in 2010.
She told the publication: “I remember when I first saw his runway show years and years ago in the middle of the night, on Fashion Television – back when that was a thing.
“It was amongst 30,000 other shows, and I was like: ‘Who is that? Where is that dress?’ I stalked him and found it, and wore it to the Met Ball that year”.
They went on to forge a creative partnership which has lasted for years and Jennifer admitted she infuriated her stylists by always insisting on wearing one of her favourite designer’s pieces.
She said: “My stylist would get angry at me because they’d say: ‘Well, no, not another Zuhair dress.’ And I’d say: ‘Yes, we’re wearing the Zuhair dress again’.”
Despite forging a decades-long working relationship with the designer, Jennifer was always too busy to attend his runway shows in person.
However, she finally got the chance to sit on the front row this week when Zuhair showed his Fall Winter 2026-2027 haute couture collection in Paris, France on Wednesday (08.07.26) as part of Paris Couture Week.
