Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has shared pictures from her summer vacation with her husband Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and the snaps suggest the pair took the kids to visit Princess Diana’s childhood home during their trip to the UK.

Meghan has shared pictures from her summer vacation with her husband and their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, and the snaps suggest the pair took the kids to Althorp, the country estate where Harry’s late mother spent her childhood and was laid to rest there after her death in 1997.
The snap, which was seemingly taken at Althorp, shows Harry and Archie walking ahead through an avenue of trees and hedges holding bouquets of flowers with Lilibet trailing behind.
Meghan posted the image on Instagram with the caption: “Summer Holiday”
She added other pictures including images believed to be taken during a break in Portugal showing the family enjoying a trip to the beach and Harry playing around in a swimming pool with the kids.
Another snap appears to show Archie being given the tour of a plane’s cockpit with the youngster sitting behind the controls wearing a pilot’s hat.
The family – who live in the US – made a brief visit to the UK earlier this month and they met up with Harry’s father, King Charles, at Highgrove House – the monarch’s country residence in Gloucestershire, England – allowing him to spend time with his grandchildren for the first time in four years.
Reports suggest they may have stayed with Harry’s uncle Charles Spencer at Althorp during the trip following a dispute over the Duke’s accommodation.
The trip was complicated by a disagreement over arrangements for Harry’s stay in London.
Harry’s team initially announced he would be based at the royal residence of Buckingham Palace fin London or part of his trip, but it later emerged that was not the case.
Insiders said Harry had not formally responded to the king’s offer of accommodation at a royal residence and was told he could no longer stay at Buckingham Palace because a minimum notice period is needed to ensure guests can be hosted and Royal Household staff provided.
The 41-year-old royal’s representative admitted the decision was “disappointing” and accused the palace of withdrawing the offer “at the last moment” as they explained Harry’s delay had been due to him putting security measures in place after it was confirmed he wouldn’t receive official protection.
Harry headed to the UK solo before he was later joined by Meghan and the kids for the meeting with the King.
