A prominent gaming insider has suggested Rockstar Games could showcase Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay in August, giving fans their first major look at the highly anticipated sequel before its November launch.
Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay could finally be revealed in August, according to industry insider NateTheHate, as Rockstar Games prepares to increase marketing for one of the most anticipated releases in gaming history.
Rockstar has so far shown only cinematic trailers for GTA VI, leaving fans waiting for a proper demonstration of how the game will actually play.
With the title scheduled to launch on November 19, speculation is growing that the developer could soon begin showing more of the long-awaited sequel.
The latest rumours come from NateTheHate, who responded to a fan question on X asking when players could expect to see GTA VI gameplay.
He said, before clarifying: “I expect to see a fair bit of GTA 6 this month. I mean August.”
While Nate did not explicitly confirm that gameplay footage would be shown, his response came directly after a question about a gameplay reveal.
The insider also presented the prediction as something he expects rather than information officially confirmed by Rockstar.
NateTheHate has developed a strong reputation within the gaming industry for accurate leaks and predictions, although fans should still treat unofficial reports cautiously until Rockstar makes an announcement.
The insider also recently claimed that GTA VI remains on track for its November release date despite concerns that Rockstar could delay the game again.
He said: “GTA 6 will arrive in November as planned.”
Those concerns are understandable, with Grand Theft Auto VI having already been delayed twice.
Despite its confirmed 2026 release window, Rockstar has revealed relatively little about the sequel, even with launch now only months away.
However, Nate previously suggested fans should not be concerned about the lack of marketing, explaining that Rockstar is following a planned promotional strategy.
He wrote: “[Rockstar Games] have a marketing plan and they are sticking to that plan. No reason for concern.”
Other industry figures have expressed confidence in the release schedule, with Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier previously saying he was highly confident GTA VI would arrive without another delay.
If the August prediction proves accurate, Rockstar could soon begin a major marketing push for the sequel, offering players their first extended look at the world, missions and gameplay systems behind GTA VI.
