Oprah Winfrey launches live show in Las Vegas

Oprah Winfrey has announced the launch of AHA, her two-hour immersive live show.

Oprah Winfrey is launching a two-hour immersive live show.

The 72-year-old media mogul is set to launch Oprah Winfrey’s AHA – which will feature music, film, and sensory effects – at the Sphere in Las Vegas in April, and Oprah is already looking forward to the project.

She told People: “I feel that it is the culmination of everything I’ve tried to say for years.

“It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a way that allows you to feel connected to yourself, but also to everybody else who’s there.”

Oprah saw U2 open the Sphere in September 2023, and she’s now thrilled to be bringing AHA to Las Vegas.

The TV star recalled: “I was mesmerised. I was enthralled. I was excited.

“When you’re inside the Sphere, it’s like being under this dome that isn’t a dome, but it’s like a window. There are 160,000 speakers, and movement in the seats and your olfactory senses are being affected. If you’re looking at the beach, you can smell the beach.

“At one point I was like, ‘I don’t even know what is happening.’”

Oprah described the U2 concert as an “aha moment” for her.

She said: “This could be one of the most magnificent opportunities. You could take people to the edge of space and allow them to see their connection to the universe, and to themselves, and to each other.”

Meanwhile, Oprah previously claimed that she felt more “aware and conscious” after turning 70.

The legendary talk-show host admitted that she’s developed a new outlook on life in recent years.

During an appearance on TODAY, Oprah shared: “There is a sense of knowing that there isn’t as much time left and I am at peace with that knowing. There’s a sense of urgency for me about living well.”

Oprah underwent knee surgery in 2021, and that proved to be a turning point for her.

She explained: “I had been becoming more and more debilitated to the point where it was hard to walk down even two steps just to get into the car. You know that pain.

“When I finally went to the knee doctor and I said, ‘I don’t know, is it time?’ He goes, ‘It’s time if you want to continue walking. You like walking? It’s time.’”
