Woman charged with attempted murder over shooting at Rihanna’s mansion

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion.

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a licensed speech pathologist from Orlando, Florida, is alleged to have opened fire with an AR-style rifle at Rihanna’s mansion in March.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that Ortiz has been charged with one count of attempted murder, as well as ten felony counts of assault with an assault weapon and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said: “Every person deserves to feel safe in and around their home.

“Shooting at an occupied home is a serious, violent crime that is both reckless and dangerous. It is pure luck and not a matter of restraint that no one was killed or injured.”

Rihanna, A$AP Rocky – her long-time partner – their three children, her mother and two staff people were all inside the property when Ortiz is alleged to have opened fire.

According to prosecutors, Ortiz also fired shots at a nearby property where two individuals were home.

Ortiz – who has previously made cryptic posts on social media, seemingly referencing the singer – entered a not guilty plea at Los Angeles Superior Court in March.

The motive for the shooting – which didn’t lead to any injuries – also remains unclear.

Meanwhile, a source previously revealed that Rihanna was “terrified” by the incident.

The chart-topping singer – who has RZA, four, Riot, three, and Rocki, 12 months, with Rocky – was bemused by the idea that anyone would target her or her family.

The insider told People earlier this year: “Even with a great security team in place, it’s scary to realize that something like this can still happen.

“Rihanna heard the shots, but was initially confused about what happened. She doesn’t understand why someone would target her family.”

Meanwhile, a second source explained that Rihanna was “freaking the f out” over the incident.
