Grand Theft Auto VI leaker threatens to release full story mode

The culprit behind a string of Grand Theft Auto VI leaks has threatened to release a build containing the game’s entire story if their cryptocurrency reaches a $30 million market cap.

The Grand Theft Auto VI leaker known as Cyberleek has reportedly threatened to release a version of the game containing its entire story campaign, including the ending and credits, if their cryptocurrency reaches a $30 million market cap.

According to reports, Cyberleek’s website was updated with an offer claiming that the “build” would be released if its memecoin reaches the target.

The message also demands that Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two release GTA 6 on physical discs and issue a public apology.

It remains unclear whether Cyberleek actually possesses a playable build of GTA 6, or whether the threat refers to releasing a complete video playthrough.

Cyberleek’s cryptocurrency currently has a market cap of around $3.8 million, according to the information provided, having reportedly peaked at $5.7 million as the latest claims spread online.

Reaching $30 million would therefore require a substantial increase.

The alleged offer represents the latest escalation in a campaign that has already seen numerous pieces of unreleased GTA 6 footage posted online.

Cyberleek has previously tied potential leaks to cryptocurrency market-cap targets, including footage featuring different outfits for protagonist Lucia.

The leaker has repeatedly claimed that the campaign is intended to protest Rockstar’s decision not to release GTA 6 on a physical disc.

However, the use of a cryptocurrency scheme has led to widespread accusations that the leaks are primarily an attempt to make money.

Cyberleek returned to prominence this week after releasing a 24-minute video containing previously unseen GTA 6 material, including cutscenes, story moments and footage involving protagonists Jason and Lucia.

Take-Two launched a legal investigation following an earlier wave of leaks in August, issuing subpoenas to companies including Discord in an effort to identify those responsible.

It remains unclear how the footage escaped Rockstar’s notoriously tight security.

Rockstar previously described the leaks as “heartbreaking” for its development team and warned that spoilers could affect the experience it had intended to deliver to players.

Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled for release on November 19, meaning fans are now facing the possibility of increasingly significant material appearing online before launch.

Whether Cyberleek genuinely possesses a complete build, and whether the $30 million target can be reached, remains uncertain.

For now, the latest threat appears to be another attempt to turn GTA 6’s enormous anticipation into cryptocurrency speculation.
