Sandra Bullock was confident “from the neck down” at the Practical Magic 2 premiere.
The 62-year-old star stepped out with castmates including Nicole Kidman for the highly anticipated sequel’s recent screening, and she has heaped praise on the “incredible stylists” who helped get her ready.
She told Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast that “from the neck down, I was so taken care of” and felt “comfortable in my body”.
She added: “I would start panicking as we would get ready to leave and I said, ‘You guys are working on the outside.
“I’m sitting in my body, I have no idea what you guys are doing’. I was like, ‘Okay, I got this.’ ”
Once the premiere was over, Sandra heard from studio executives who wanted to run some of the snaps past her before they got shared.
She said: “So Warner Brothers goes, ‘We need you to approve some of these shots so we can get them on social.’
“I’m like, ‘Great.’ Because I, by the end, I was like, ‘I did it. I did a really good job.’
“I loved everything from here [neck] down. And then I went … I was like, ‘Why do I have stink face?’ ”
Sandra joked that her face looked like she “smelled something”.
She added: “I’m like, ‘What happened? That’s not what I was feeling.’”
Sandra – who has Louis, 16, and Laila, 12 – also revealed that she now organises her career plans around her kids and their busy schedules.
She explained: “If the kids can’t be with me, I’m not going.
“The older they get, the bigger their schedules. And their schedules are more important than me telling a story, period.
“I don’t have that same drive to be in front of the camera. I get my fulfilment from the prep, the building of it, rather than the ‘Hey, I’m an actor and look at what I’ve done.’ That scares me actually, because then the judgement comes.”
