Kim Kardashian was invited to Elizabeth Taylor’s home ‘right after’ her death

Kim Kardashian has revealed she went to Elizabeth Taylor’s home and was shown her “safe with all of her jewellery” right after she passed away in 2011.

Kim Kardashian visited Elizabeth Taylor’s home to see her jewellery “right after” her death.

The 46-year-old star wore the actress’ iconic Bulgari emerald and diamond necklace during the All’s Fair press tour in Rome, but it wasn’t the first time she’s seen the piece up close.

In a video shared on Instagram, she told the Bulgari team: “When she passed away, I was brought into her home [and] shown her safe with all of her jewellery before they cleared it out.

“So, I was able to see everything in her home and her jewellery still in her safe and all of her stuff still [there], her furniture.

“I was able to go in there like right after she passed. I know that sounds insane, but I was able to see this stuff in her purple closet.”

Kim also claimed she was “lucky enough to have a phone conversation with her about” the Bulgari necklace before the silver screen icon died aged 79 in March 2011.

The star revealed that celebrity stylist Law Roach “really pulled some strings” to get her the item for the photo call.

In the video, she FaceTimed the stylist to show him the jewels and said: “Look at this. You did it. I don’t know how you did this.

“But this is like the best birthday present ever… Now I can start my year with this Elizabeth energy.”

Kim recently revealed she borrowed a black scorpion-embellished cloak by Tiziani Roma, which Taylor wore to a ball thrown by Grace Kelly in 1969, from her mother Kris Jenner for All’s Fair.

Ryan Murphy, the creator of the legal drama, wrote an episode linking her character Allura Grant to Taylor.

The cape went full circle when Kris wore it to the red carpet premiere of All’s Fair in Rome, Italy on Saturday (24.10.26) and Kim explained the link in a post on Instagram.

She wrote: “Fun fact about the cape my mom is wearing. It belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, and my mom now owns it and graciously let me wear it in All’s Fair.

“After Ryan Murphy heard the story of Elizabeth Taylor wearing it to Grace Kelly’s Scorpion Ball, naturally, he made sure to write an episode about [Kim’s All’s Fair character] Allura Grant throwing her own Scorpion Ball.

“I’m the luckiest girl to have borrowed it from my mom.”

The black cloak – with a silver scorpion across the front – was worn by Taylor to Kelly’s Scorpion Ball in Monte Carlo on November 15, 1969.

The event was held to celebrate the princess’ 40th birthday and was named after her star sign – Scorpio – and Taylor, who was a Pisces, honoured the night’s theme with her outfit.

The original cloak was sold at auction for $74,500 back in 2011.
