Miranda Kerr reveals how spray tan helps create the perfect Victoria’s Secret abs

Miranda Kerr has reflected on her beauty and workout regimes.

Miranda Kerr used to use spray tans to create “a little etching in the abs” for the Victoria’s Secret runway.

The 43-year-old supermodel has reflected on the beauty regime she underwent to help with her iconic looks under the bright lights, including using spray tans for definition as much as colour.

She told the Well With Arielle Lorre podcast: “The noni body oil [was used] all over our bodies to give that beautiful glowing skin…

“Everyone got a spray tan before the show, and you can actually do a spray tan where you, like, contour the abs.

“So that’s one of the things a lot of us would do, get a little shading in there, a little etching in the abs.”

As well as the aesthetic preparations, Miranda recalled the intense fitness training she underwent behind the scenes.

She recalled: “I was working out six days a week. But I was enjoying it.

“I was working out with a trainer called Justin Gelband, and he got me really ready and I just kind of followed his lead.'”

The workouts themselves were varied, ranging from boxing exercises “running up and down” the highway.

She said: “Sometimes we’d be doing skipping, sometimes we’d be doing these little discs and things, sometimes we’d be doing boxing, sometimes we’d be doing running up and down the West Side highway – which was not one of my favourite things, and he knew that.

“I prefer more like, slow and steady.”

Meanwhile, Miranda also reflected on how she adjusted to getting back on the runway shortly after giving birth to son Flynn in 2011, when she was with actor Orlando Bloom.

She sarcastically quipped: “I was wearing the Fantasy Bra and I’d not long [ago] had Flynn. I guess, like, six months after.

“And I was still breastfeeding, so yeah, that was fun.”

Miranda and Orlando, 49, were married between 2010 and 2013, but they’ve always put their son Flynn, 15, before anything else in their lives.

Asked about the secrets to their co-parenting dynamic, she recently told E! News: “Put the needs of the child first. That’s so important to think about, is this in the best interest for the child? And that’s what we’ve done from day one with Flynn, and that’s helped navigate so many challenging situations that have come up. Kids first.”
