The Trainspotting actor and his childhood friend Eric Strickland are embarking on an unsupported transatlantic sailing expedition in True Wind, and the clothing brand have been appointed Protective Gear Partners, supplying the pair with an integrated system designed to protect whatever the conditions.
Featured in the documentary is the Sea Mantra, which has been engineered over six years specifically for extreme wet weather environments, as well as the Horizon Rain Jacket, and new yet-to-be-released products.
Ewan told WWD: “I always thought that being on a small boat in the middle of a huge ocean must be very close to experiencing real adventure, at a time when adventure is harder and harder to find. I’ve never been far offshore before, and my friends and I will have to be self-sufficient and ready to cope with whatever the weather, the sea and the boat throw our way.
“The extreme measures Canada Goose goes through to test and perfect their gear is extraordinary and we are lucky and happy to be wearing it. We’re so excited to team up for this journey. See you in Brazil.”
Canada Goose were excited to challenge their own expertise by providing Ewan and Eric with what they needed for their gruelling trip across the Atlantic.

Ewan and Eric left Oban, Scotland, at the end of August and will arrive in Brazil later this autumn.
